Elani is a Kenyan group band consisting of three members; Wambui Ngugi, Brian Chweya, and Maureen Kunga. Their genre of music is African pop. They formed their group in 2008, and they released their first single in 2013, ' Jana Usiku.'
She was born in 1989 and is the last born in a family of five. Maureen is the bands' vocalist. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya after pursuing Law, at the University of Nairobi and a musician.
Maurine went to Kinda High School then later joined Nairobi University. She started her singing career as a church choir member.
She got married at a private wedding in August 2019 on the shores of Lake Naivasha.
She is a songwriter and a graduate from the University of Nairobi, whereby she pursued a Bsc. in Actuarial Science. She enjoys swimming.
She has an elder sister and is very passionate about her Christian belief.
She has an incurable condition known as androgenetic alopecia, a common form of hair loss affecting men and women.
He is the only man in the band. He is a musician, songwriter, guitarist, and also lawyer. He attended the University of Nairobi, where he pursued his law degree.
He was born in Nairobi, and he is the firstborn in their family. He attended Moi Educational Center for his KCPE and Upperhill High School for his O level. He also has a diploma in law from Kenya School of Law.
