Joy Wa Macharia Alleges Why Most Kikuyu Songs Starts With Word 'Atî'

Producing a melody that would become acceptable by the society and funs is one of the most difficult artistic task to musicians. Joy Wa Macharia, Kikuyu Mugithi queen who was born from a little known Kimandi Village, Gatanga constituency, Murang'a county in the former Central province have revealed that most Kikuyu music must begin with the word 'Atî' due to the following reasons and has given out some examples like: 'Ati Mundurume ni kieya' (Husband is plot) and 'Ati Wanjiru Kia Murang'a' that has made her so popular.
