Kevin Kioko alias Bahati has for the first time spoke about the large sum of cash he has spent on his campaigns in a bid to become the next member of parliament for Mathare.
Bahati said that he had spent a total of 33 millions kenyan shillings and intends to spend 10 Million more on Tuesday, August 9. He however didn't reveal how he is going to spend the 10 million on Tuesday as politicians have been warned against campaigning outside the allocated period.
Bahati who is vying for the position under the Jubilee party ticket has held on to the last day despite several controversies surrounding the position.
Tension began when the singer was asked by ODM's chairman Edwin Sifuna to step down in favour of Antony Oluoch. In the second offer, Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga offered him a job in the national government but the singer still declined the offer saying he was the most preferred candidate in the race.
