Famous gospel evangelist Pius Muiru is no doubt one of the most ambitious and outgoing men of God in recent days.
A holder of a degree in International Relations from the University of Nairobi and another in Theology, Dr. Pius Muiru says he is not done yet.
He now says he wants to study law and be admitted to the Bar by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
“I want to be a lawyer and join the LSK,” says Dr. Muiru, adding, “I am setting my sights on being a competent lawyer to represent people in court fairly, not necessarily for money but for prudent administration of justice.”
After receiving the Doctorate alongside his wife Reverend Lucy, the elated televangelist told the media that he has been studying almost his entire life.
He confided that on top of his degrees, he has also studied “other small courses here and there” aiming to become a better servant of God and mankind.
An able panel of academic leaders and deans from the Breakthrough International Bible University led by their Chancellor had come to confer the PhD on Bishop Muiru and his wife at his Embassy Cinema church on Sunday.
Dr. Muiru, who exhibits remarkable humility, accessibility and generosity to his flock, rose from preaching on open space to radio and television with his popular slogan ‘Kuna Nuru Gizani’.
Dr. Muiru’s preaching spans almost three decades and has impacted millions of lives at home and the diaspora.
He is now the proud owner of Nuru TV on which he does his sermons and other inspirational programs.
