A Ugandan lady by the name Joy Gift found herself stranded in Kenya after her Kenyan boyfriend dumped her during the COVID-19 pandemic period when she could no longer go back to Uganda since there was a lockdown. At the time, Joy was a few months pregnant. 7 months into the pregnancy, she gave birth to a baby boy while all alone in a tiny house. She could go for days without food while still taking care of the premature baby. Luckily, she got help from a well wisher after she was kicked out of the house by the caretaker. Her baby daddy Edwin Gichuhi publicly declared that Joy's baby is a curse.
Joy's story was aired by Tuko on 10th February. Many well wishers came to her rescue. A Kenyan lady living in the United states offered her a house in Kenya to stay with a monthly salary for keeping the compound neat.
