Renowned gospel artist and philanthropist Owen Mwatia alias, Daddy Owen, has touched the hearts of his fans after sharing an inspiring story of a Kenyan female deejay who did not let disability limit her dreams and passion. The talented disc jockey who goes by the name Dj Wiwa aka, Kirinyaga Finest, uses her feet to spin.
She was born with cerebral palsy but despite the condition, she followed her dream of becoming a deejay. She broke barriers and proved that disability is not disability. Daddy Owen met her at Citizen TV studios and her story inspired her.
''Inspirational story..@wiwadj_kirinyagafinest is a special DJ, she spins using her feet..!! Her condition cerebral palsy affected her while but it dint change her destiny of becoming a DJ!! Follow her and support her!! Indeed Disability is not Inability,'' he wrote on his Instagram account.
Dj Wiwa said in a past interview with the Standard that it is her mother who suggested that she should start disc jockeying. She enrolled in a deejay academy and started her journey of becoming a professional deejay.
Her breakthrough came in 2018 after some well-known Kenyan deejays surprised her with deejaying equipment to help her kickstart her career and since then, she has been playing in clubs and corporate events. See her photos below.
