Young Kenyans are certainly taking over the entertainment industry day by day and soon they will be dominating in every possible aspect. Here are some good examples of such young Kenyans who already earning big from the industry.
Azziad Nasenya Wafula is a Kenyan actress, content creator, media host and social media personality. She is popularly known as Kenya's TikTok Queen. Azziad joined TikTok in August 2019 where she showcased her dancing, lipsync and acting skills. Her TikTok account topped some of the TikTok challenges and was verified in February 2020, earning her the Title East Africa TikTok Queen. In April 2020, a video of Azziad dancing to Femi One and Mejja's Utawezana song went viral.
2. Trio Mio
Tj Mario also Known as Trio Mio was born on 2004, Embakasi Nairobi. He is 17 years as at 2021. By his age he marks the young talented high school kid who ventured into music industry and got a crowd following on his songs and his you tube channel. On 2020 Trio Mio went viral with his song Cheza kama wewe which was remix featuring the likes of big artists, whom he looked up to. Who were, Mejja, Exray, Nellythegoon, the song gained more than 4 million views past 3 months on his you tube channel. This caught the young talented teen star on shock because he didn’t expect that to happen.
3. Ssaru Wa Manyaru
Ssaru (real name Sylvia Saru) is one of the biggest Gengetone artists in 2021. She is arguably the most popular female artist in what is a male-dominated genre, earning her the title ‘Queen of Gengetone’. The versatile 18-year old rapper was born on May 19, 2002. Ssaru hails from Mbololo in Taita Taveta County. She was, however, raised in Nairobi’s Kayole neighborhood. Among her well-known nicknames is Ssaru wa Manyaru , which is a reference to marijuana (manyaru).
4. Wabosha Maxine
Maxine is a Kenyan female youth who is doing well when it comes to creativity. Since 2017, Maxine has rose up in creativity and proved that everything is so possible. Maxine specializes in content creation on social media platforms. What brought her to limelight is her YouTube channel which has passed 218,000 subscriber count as of the year 2021. On her channel, she does videos about traveling, proper styles of dressing and also delivers tips on the efficient way to wear a make-up for ladies.
5. Nikita Kering
One of the youngest Kenyan musical artists who have shaken up the industry is Nikita Kering. She was born on February 26th, 2002 in Nairobi, Kenya. She rose to stardom from her song ‘Tragedy’ which was a powerful production of emotion and a mature address to violence in romantic relationships. The young musical artist has defied odds and won herself awards already at her tender age. Nikita Kering bagged two awards at the 2019 Afrima Awards and made history as the youngest female Kenyan to make it to such heights. The sky is not the limit to this budding star who looks up to global stars such as Beyoncé Knowles Carter.
