Music Copyright Of Kenya Chief Executive Officer Ezekiel Mutua has clarified on the ongoing spat between Azimio Presidential Campaign Team and Kenya Boys Band Sauti Sol after using of their songs yesterday,last evening Sauti Sol had told campaign team that they are infringing their music copyright rules by using their songs,their concern was also highlighted by other bodies of regulating music copyright.
However this evening Ezekiel has told Sauti Sol that Raila Odinga Campaign team paid Music Copyright Of Kenya a significant amount of money for any use of Kenya music,according to Mutua they followed copyright laws and gazetted the notice on all media platforms both print and they should misguiding the public on that particular issue,he told off the body that was asking Azimio La Umoja to pay Sauti Sol saying they the once who should give directions.
According to Music Copyright Of Kenya CEO they told the public that they tasked in synchronization,he other bodies to keep of the matter and stop confusing Kenyans.
