Nadia Mukami has been making headlines for the kind of dress she wore to a live performance which most people didn't like. According to most netizens, her look as seen in the photo below is against the African culture.
That she is expected to dress in clothes that do not expose her body that much because she is now a mother.
Melina Gold the designer who dressed her came out in an interview to defend Nadia's look saying that that is exactly how an artist is supposed to look like while performing.
That people cannot expect her to deliver good music when she is dressed like an ordinary person. She likened her look to that of Nikki Minaj and Beyonce because they dress the same way while performing.
Melina said that Nadia's dress is an international attire because that is how artists in other parts of the world groom.
She told people to stop being primitive and accept that as the world is evolving fashion is also not left behind. That motherhood does not limit anyone on what to wear and what to avoid.
She said, "Wacheni ushamba, be open minded. This is fashion and we should embrace it."
Watch her say this from minute 5 in this video.
