David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has donated 250 million naira to orphanages across Nigeria.
He had received 200 million naira from friends and fans and added 50 million naira to sum the donation up to 250 million naira. This was after he took to twitter for a million naira challenge from his friends and fans ahead of his 29th birthday. He thanked those who donated to his account and said his aim was to make the donation a yearly celebration.
He at first had said that he needed a hundred million naira to clear His Rolls Royce at the port. He however received a donation of two hundred million naira which he said he would donate to orphanages. He added fifty million naira to the donation summing up to 250 million naira.
Davido is a multiple award winning Nigerian artiste. He is one of the greatest African artiste. He has done collaborations with world superstars including Chris Brown and Nicky Minaj. He has received awards from MTV and BET and also has many nominations.
