Syombua Osiany, an iron-jawed icon of gospel shows in the media industry has announced her ripe plans of making a major return to radio after spending one full year away from the airwaves.
Before exiting the industry, Syombua hosted the Pambazuka show on Royal Media owned Radio Citizen which aired from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. daily, until coronavirus pandemic complicated the economic stability of media companies in the country leading to the firing of reputable names in the industry including herself.
After feeling the effect of the pandemic on its business, Royal Media other than Syombua sent a number of presenters home among them John Maloba, Heminigilder Mugeni and Hot 96 FM's Nancy Wanjiku Karanja popularly known as Shix Kapienga.
Taking to her widely followed social media pages, Syombua has finally intimated that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Although she did not disclose the media station that will host her, the cherished luminary in the media industry shared the name of the new show as Inuka na Syombua Osiany.
" Je, umemiss Ile maombi ya Kila siku asubuhi? Je umemiss Ile neno la kukuchangamsha Kila asubuhi? I am back like never before! Roho wa mungu azidi kututawala Sasa....". She posted on her social media pages.
Her positive acknowledgement aroused curiosity among hundreds of her followers who wanted to know her exact destination. In response to the overwhelming queries, she urged her followers to be keen on her daily updates in order to get more information.
