Veteran Television News Anchor, Badi Muhsin, Dies

Veteran television news anchor Badi Muhsin dies, family confirms.

He is famed for Kiswahili news show Dira ya Dunia on KBC. 

The Swahili maestro lost his life on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the age of 67 years.

According to the family reports, Muhsin succumbed at his home in Mombasa. He is reported to have taken his lunch only to complain of stomach complications moments after the meals.

He is said to have proceeded into his bedroom only to be found dead, according to his family reports obtained by press.

His death comes only a year when In 2020 underwent kidney surgery to remove some stones contained in his kidney.

Before his demise, Muhsin served at the national broadcaster during the former President Daniel Moi's reign from the year 1980 to 2002.

However, in 2020 he went back to KBC television.

He was given the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) award in 2011 by former Kenya's President Mwai Kibaki, for his tremendous success in media.
