The musician-turned-politician was admitted into Nairobi County hospital for an emergency knee surgery.
"We often go for our daily jogging at Karura forest, and he has always complained that his knee is causing him pain," he hinted.
After a hours of unsuccessful medical examinations, it is reported that he couldn't bare the pain anymore, and his doctors asked him to undergo surgery as a matter of urgency.
"He had plan or otherwise, and so we took him to M P Shah medical facility," he added.
It was a small operation, and the member of parliament is doing well.
"He will discharge from hospital soon. Doctors have asked that he should be on bed rest for sometime so his body may recover and maintain its immune system. Hopefully, we are certain he will be able to take his roles and continue serving the people of Starehe," the singer said.
During the operation, the starehe member of parliament was accompanied by his bosom friends, together with gospel star D K Kwenye beat.
The legislator was still sleeping and couldn’t give a remark by press time.
