Despite fighting the monster bone cancer, Mercy Silah was always bubbly and full of life. Her love story with her husband Raphael Ragot got everyone's admiration. The bubbly Mercy Silah who sang her hope out even in ICU breath her last on Saturday morning.
Her story is one that anybody would run away from. Mercy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2019. As narrated by her husband former students President of TUK, She underwent multiple surgeries to avert led amputation. They settled on going to India just to save her leg. She was too young and just out of school ready to enjoy the fruit of her hard work. The amputation was the only option left for them and she underwent the same in May.
Her husband stood by her and both were seen in public sharing the love they had for each other to everyone. The aeronautical engineer from the Technical University of Kenya after amputation regularly shared Tiktok videos of her living life without being barred by her condition. With this, she got many fans who looked up to her for hope and positivity.
Her death took the internet by storm, her friends couldn't hide their pain. All narrated how Mercy was an inspiration.
"It's a very sad morning, sorry brother Ragot Raphael for the loss of your wife mercy may God give you strength comfort, and give you peace for it's not easy for you lost a friend and a wife. You have been with mercy all through happiness and pain showed how what men of today should emulate," Nancy Ngetich said.
