A polygamous member of parliament has become the topic on social media after an embarrassing event that took place at parliament buildings in the presence of the head of state who was also the guest of honor. The event which was being covered live by journalists and television media stations went viral after the first wife and her co-wife decided to settle their supremacy battles before dignitaries and the public.
According to NTV news digital media, the member of parliament from Soroti Constituency Moses Okia Attan was taking his oath to serve in the 11th session of the Ugandan parliament accompanied by his wives at the VIP podium. The event which was being streamed live on all media stations exposed the underbelly of the polygamous tension of the two women as they jostled to get a position besides their husband.
One of the ladies could be seen forcefully pushing her co-wife violently in order to get a vantage position besides Moses who seemed interrupted during the scuffle by the two women. He glanced twice at his wives in disapproval at the embarrassing situation as he continued reciting his swearing in speech. The video has been doing rounds on social media with different opinions being expressed on the challenges being faced on polygamous relationships.
