When talking about hip hop music in Kenya, one can't ignore or finish his statements without mentioning Kaligraph jones. Known for his style of music and his rap He has raised from an unknown artist to one of the most respected musicians in Kenya. In His songs, the rapper will always mention himself and mention Kayole being where he grew up.
Kali graph was among Kenyan musicians who started the hashtag unlock the country. Through his Facebook account, the hip hop star begged the deputy president to talk to his boss to open the county saying that Kenyans are suffering and he is ready to campaign for him. After a week he and other musicians paid a courtesy call to the Deputy president where they shared their grievances and what should be done.
He was later criticised by other musicians among them Octopizzo who said they are the ones dragging others behind. Kaligraph refuted the claims saying they only went there to air their side of stories concerning the economy. On Saturday morning the President lifted the covid measures and this lead to Kaligraph lamenting through his Instagram account that he is the one who made the government open the county.
