Detectives are still investigating the mysterious disappearance of Kikuyu comedian Mwangi alias Kianangi who went missing in 2017.
On the fateful day, he left his rental home claiming that he was going to visit his ailing mother and take her to hospital. His last phone signal was traced at the location where his car was found.
The police claim that he was a part time car thief and used to operate around Kamakis and Bypass, a claim that his family has strongly refuted.
Details have also emerged that his brother Maina Waweru who had converted into Islam in 2014 also went missing. It is suspected that he went to Somalia where he was recruited into a religious fellowship. It is unclear whether Mwangi and Waweru were in talking terms.
Mwangi had entertained Kenyans through comedy since 2003. He had gained popularity because of his collabos with comedian Macangi with whom they fell out three years prior to his disappearance and started working independently.
