Her son who is in form two is at home now because of fees. Her daughter who is a candidate in this year's KCSE exams has been given a reprieve to sit for the exams, however, Joyce has been told to clear her school fees.
She went on to reveal that her life turned sour when the famous Tahidi High Show which was been aired on Citizen TV Kenya was pulled off air on the month of January 2020. She also revealed that she is not able to pay rent.
In order to help put food on the table, Joyce started a small cooking business but has been experiencing losses given the nature of her business.
"Many times, I throw away a lot of food due to the limited number of clients and this has affected me to extend of been unable to raise money to pay rent for the kiosk i have rented."
