1. Mike Sonko.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko adopted Gift Osinya and his brother Satrine Osinya in 2014. The two children had survived Al-shabaab attack on their church which left their mother dead and a bullet lodged in Satrine's head. The two are all grown up now and Gift is set to join university after scoring a B- in the previously concluded KCSE exams.
The popular gospel musician is a proud parent of Morgan Bahati whom he adopted. In a previous interview, Bahati explained that he adopted Morgan to give back to the society after he was also adopted at a young age.
3. Uhuru Kenyatta.
President Uhuru Kenyatta was impressed with Daniel Owiro after he performed a powerful spoken word poem known as 'Otonglo'. After learning that the talented young man hailed from a poor background,the president decided to adopt him and pay for his upkeep. Daniel is now a Journalism student at Multi Media University in Karen.
4. Shaffie Weru.
Popular Radio presenter Shaffie Weru is an adopted father of 2 children whom he lives with. He vowed to take care of the children until they were old enough to be independent.
