Barack Obama has come out to mention his best music playlist so far and I have noticed that in many ways, former presidents are just like us. The 27-track Spotify playlist handpicked by Barack Obama covers everything from pop, rock, and hip-hop to reggaeton, jazz, house, Tuareg guitar jams, and gothic blues, among other genres.

"I've always enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, so it's no surprise that I listened to a little bit of everything this year," Obama wrote in a message accompanying the playlist. You may discover a new artist or song that you'd like to add to your playlist."

"The Only Heartbreaker" by Mitski kicked things off, followed by "I Don't Live Here Anymore" by War on Drugs and Mitski, "Tala Tannam" by Mdou Moctar, "Magnolia Blues" by Adia Victoria, and "Witchoo" by Durand Jones & the Indication. Other deep-dive tracks included "Magnolia Blues" by Adia, "Witchoo" by Durand Jones.
