A few days ago, Mr. Muturi from Embu hit the headlines after his painful story was aired. This particular man has been on the bed for the past 18 years. His wife narrated how his lover became paralyzed after a tree fell on his legs. However, she didn't give up on him and she has been taking care of him and helping him around.
Today, Baruthi wa Thayo visited him accompanied by a doctor who assessed his condition. Dr. Stephen Kariuki advised them to take him to Embu Level 5 with an immediate effect. He further told the members of the public that his legs are bleeding and need an urgent cure. He added that he must have been a strong man for living in such a condition for 18 years.
After spending one and a half years in the hospital, his wife Stella Muturi took him back home and continued nursing him.
During the interview, his host gave the viewers the number that they are supposed to contribute. He promised to take the man to the hospital at the end of the show.
As the interview went on, well-wishers were sending their contribution to Muturi's wife until her phone could longer hold more messages.
Despite the heavy rains, his host courageously went on with the interview under a small shade.
He still acknowledges the people who sent their contributions.
At this point, Mr. Muturi was praying to the almighty God to bless all the people who were sending their money to him.
Those who couldn't afford to send cash sent their prayers and encouraging messages.
Within a few minutes, they had raised a total of Sh.108,000 and sent for an ambulance to come and pick Mr. Muturi from his home. At the same time, their grandson joined.
They were forced to cut short the interview after their phone ran out of charge. At that time the host disclosed that they had raised around 150k and were waiting for an ambulance to take Mr. Muturi to hospital.
May the good Lord heal him and bless his lovely wife.
