RIP Another Popular Kalenjin Gospel Artist Is Dead

Kalenjin community is yet again mourning the death of another popular gospel artist who passed on this morning after a short illness. The 'Awale Ane Mesiah' hit singer Willy Korir died at his home as reported by Taach FM on Monday afternoon .

Willy Korir was a long pastor, a singer, and a good role model in the Church Of God, a good servant of Elohim from kachumbe transmara. His family confirmed the tragic news to the surprise of many of his followers.

He began singing in the late 90s and his songs have been a hit since then. He has been mourned as a great man of God who used his talent to preach to the people across the community.

His death is a blow to the community as just months ago, Hellen Koligey another gospel artist died of cancer.

His colleagues have taken to social media to mourn the artist remembering his talent with the guitar.

"I heard this over the radio at 2.00 pm news in brief and I am still saddened. My heartfelt condolence to the family, Church, friends, and relatives at large. Willy was a friendly man to all, ever-smiling. I got a chance to play guitar with him and he was a real deal especially rhumba style, whereby most of all his music is recorded. He majorly played the key of C#, C7 and the key of G. May his soul rest in peace, we shall meet him in the Kingdom of Yahshua," Said Sitonik his friend.
