The first rising singer TJ Mario Kasela, alias Trio Mio has recently disclosed that he is dating on social media platforms. However it sparked alot of mixed reactions from Kenyans because being 16 years old seem young to do so.
Speaking in an interview with a local radio, the 16-year-old said his girlfriend is younger, further heaping praises on her. According to Trio Mio “Ni mdogo wangu (she is younger than me). She makes me happy, she is a vibe. She is beautiful,”.
The rapper’s mother, Irma Sakwa has come out clearly and confirmed the existence of the relationship noting that she has personally met the girlfriend in question, further lauding her son for introducing his lover to her instead of keeping the relationship a secret.
Meanwhile, his mother added by saying that she was happy at least he has brought a girl and I’ve met her. It’s good. It is better than keeping the relationship a secret,” mother said.
However, amongst african community and culture it's rare for a child of his age to come out and state his relationship status. This is because most of the time parents are normally against it.
