Emma Heming Willis, Bruce Willi's wife has called on paparazzi to keep their distance and stop yelling at her husband Bruce Willis when they see him in public.
On her Instagram page, she said that it can be stressful to look after someone with dementia. She added that there is still education that needs to be done regarding dementia.
She pleaded with the photographers to give her husband space and to stop yelling at him when they see him in the streets and allow whoever's with him to be able to get him from point A to point B safely. This comes after the paparazzi were shouting at the actor in Santa Monica when with friends.
Frontotemporal dementia is a disorder that is caused by clumps of an abnormal protein that forms inside brain cells that damages the cells and stops them from functioning well. The disorder affects the temporal lobe (a part behind the ears)and frontal lobe(a part behind the forehead).
Symptoms that may present in the disorder are difficulties with language, cognitive ability, behaviour and motor function.
She asked anyone with a loved one with dementia to share on her Instagram page how they get them out in the world safely. Here are some of the comments.
