This was due to a morning post on her Instagram account, whereby the sassy dance instructor posted a photo of them together and gushed over their achievements in boldly speaking out for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) community.
The post however wasn't received well by netizens, and some raised speculations with regards to how Chiki Kuruka vehemently supported the LGBTQ community whilst being married to a man.

"Let's say you play both sides...Much love" a follower by the moniker carole.keysha commented.
In a swift rejoinder Chiki Kuruka fired back scathingly by saying;-
" lol. That's what you got from that. Oh wow if a Christian you pose with a Muslim encouraging people to be open-minded, does that mean you are members of same religions? I am a proud ally however and I believe wholeheartedly in equality. If that message is confusing I apologize"
Below are some of other rejoinders between Chiki Kuruka and some of her disgruntled followers.
The post comes at a time when Makena Njeri who is happily gay and also the CEO of Bold Networks Africa, has been vehemently calling out for the support of the LGBTQ community and creating awareness via her online platforms.
Together with her alleged girlfriend Michelle Ntalami, they also earlier this year came up with the acronym BOLD which stands for Brave Odd Loud and Different.
