'Drama as Rogue DCI Officer Shoots, Seriously Injures Her Lover Inside a Lodging In Migori

Tens of police officers have in the past year been killed and injured in love triangle cases. Most of the incidences have been blamed on stress and trauma.

Police in Kehancha, Migori County have arrested a female police officer accused of attempting murder.

The officer reportedly shot and seriously injured her lover inside a guest room where they had gone to spend the night.

The accused, Corporal Hellen Nkuwan Lochuch, a Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officer based at Migori headquarters, allegedly shot Chacha Motatiro on the thigh leaving him with serious injuries.

Earlier on, before the incident, the officer had caused a commotion at another bar where she fired in the air once. The situation was later contained by the bar owner and other revelers.

The two lovers then proceeded to a nearby Guest house where they booked a room.

Moments later, a gunshot was heard from their room and the night guard raised alarm and alerted the police.

The victim was rushed to nearby health centre where he is currently receiving treatment.

Police managed to disarm and arrest the officer.
