Jah Cure, or Iyah Cure is a Jamaican reggae musician, who was raised in Kingston. He was given the name Jah Cure by Capleton whom he met while growing up in Kingston. Jah Cure is also known as the King of Lovers Rock and Roots Reggae.
Cure is no stranger to the inner workings of the justice system. He used of facing law.
In the 20th century he was sentenced to 15yrs in a Jamaican prison after he was found guilty of rape case. He served 8yrs and was released. 15yrs later he was back for another 8yrs.
The Jamaican Reggae Singer has been slapped with a 6-year sentence for stabbing a promoter in Netherland Amsterdam for attempted manslaughter.
Jah Cure has been locked up in jail since the stabbing last year. The panel of three judges rejected Cure’s claim of self-defense but ruled in his favor that it was not a premeditated act of attempted murder.
