This is Lizzo's first official single since 2019, when she released 'Cuz I love you'. She has kept a low profile for a few years following following the unending noise that has been cycling all over.
On Friday Aug 13th, she returned in full force with 'Rumors' featuring the pregnant rapper Cardi B. This is the singer's clapback anthem to who smack - talk her on the internet.
The Grammy - award - winning duo came together releasing 'Rumors' to confirm all the ridiculous things people have said about them.

Instead of the two denying the false statements, Lizzo and Cardi B are owning up because according to their career success, they will remain on the top because " Haters do what they do."
'Rumors' is a message of solidarity for women of color and women who are made to feel bad about their bodies and urge to conform to restrictive standards of beauty.
