Kenya is one of the famous countries in Africa known for many good things at the International level. Our rappers are not left behind when counting this blessing.

Here is a list of Kenyan rappers who are Internationally recognised.

Khaligraph Jones alias Papa Jones alias The OG alias Omollo is one of the award-winning artists in our country. The Afrimma award-winning artist on the Best Male Artist in East Africa in 2019 has set the musical bar very high. He was nominated at the BET for Best International Flow category this year but he lost by a mile. Papa Jones was also nominated for Mama awards under the Best Hip Hop category this year in Uganda. Last year, he was nominated by Sound City as the Best Hip Hop in Africa that took place in Nigeria. Khaligraph is the benchmark for rap in Africa and even in the world.

2. King Kaka

King Kaka has been in the music industry for quite some time now. The 'Wajinga Nyinyi' hitmaker among other great hits is an international icon groomed in Kenya. Despite his many years in the industry, King Kaka has managed to stay relevant with his music and his style has never change earning him a place in the spotlight.

3. Octopizzo

The Kibera bread artist has made his way up the ladder by his great efforts. Octopizzo alias Don Papichulo is a testament to Hard work pays. Over the last couple of years, the self-made artist has been taking the International spot with two hands. He has been travelling all of Europe and has also been living in America for the better part of last year and this year. Octopizzo is known for his outstanding rap performance and 'spitting bars.'

4. Nyashinski.

When good music is mentioned, it's hard not to mention Nyashinski. Despite the fame and money that he has, he is one of the most humble people who have alienated their personal life from the industry. Many do not many things about him aside from his great vocals and amazing music. The secular rapper is one of the only few ones who have made a gospel song that has become the talk of the town for years now.

5. Breeder

Despite being an upcoming artist, Breeder has managed to keep his head high on the game like the rest of the other big artists out there. He has an immaculate flowing rhyme and lyrics that are on point. Given a few years, he is going to be the Next Grammy Awards winner.

The supremacy on who is the rap king will never cease but the competition is what is needed to take Kenyan music more globally.
