Queen Elizabeth II, had been called Lilibet by her closest family members since childhood Undoubtedly her most famous nicknames, Lilibet was the name her father, King George VI, called her from the time she was a very small princess and had trouble pronouncing her name.
And now, as the world mourns the monarch following the news of her death at age 96, her great-granddaughter will carry on the name that holds such sentimental value.
However there is one man outside the royal family who is allowed to call Queen Elizabeth by her first name. Royal author Robert Hardman revealed the extent of closeness Queen Elizabeth shared with the person and his name is the late South Africa President Nelson Mandela.
