According to reports, Odongo Swag was detained for performing at night at Egesa East Villa in Umoja, Nairobi. Minutes before Saturday midnight, TUKO.co.ke saw images and videos showing the Ohangla star and his squad being escorted from the location by police. The Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja has outlawed nightclubs in residential areas.

However, Odongo's performance didn't go as planned since, according to reports, he and his colleagues were detained by Nairobi County law enforcement police at around 10:00 pm for creating noise pollution in the neighborhood.

"Long before the estates were built, Egesa East Villa already existed. This city needs to take a seat and talk. It is not just legal to harass performers whose job it is to entertain. Sakaja and his group need to take a seat and discuss some very important topics. The legislation was different when I visited Oyster Bay in Milimani the other day. No artist was detained. This is a direct offensive against entertainers, like Eastlands, "In the caption, he wrote.
