Many broadcasters have today been celebrated at the 4th Annual KUZA awards under the Regulatory Award Category, the People's Choice Award Category and the Patriotic Uzalendo Award Category. Following the public sms voting process by Kenyans, several media houses have been awarded today for exemplary performance in broadcasting in an event that was sponsored by the Broadcasting Regulatory of Kenya.
Citizen TV Kenya which is managed by the Royal Media Services company has been named the best TV station in Kenya, which has the most elaborate and reliable news, followed by KTN News, managed by the Standard Media Group. NTV Kenya has come third in that category. In the category of vernacular stations, Inooro TV of Royal Media is the best in streaming local programmes that have been termed educative and talent growing avenues.
In the radio category, Radio Maisha which is managed by the Standard Media Group has been voted the best radio station in Kenya, followed by radio Citizen of Royal Media Services. Royal Media Services managing Director Wachira Waruru has praised his staff and promised more in service delivery.
