Nazizi Hirji is a hip hop/reggae artist and is one of the most awarded Kenyan artist. She released her first single “Ni sawa tu” when she was only 16 years old making her the first successful female artist in East Africa. The song was an instant hit and soon enough Nazizi became a household name.
It’s been ten years since and Nazizi still remains one of the most popular and influential artists in the East African region. Nazizi has so far won 17 awards winning the best female artists of the year 7 times in a row.
Nazizi got married in the year 2008 at Jamia mosque in a secret wedding. She got married to Vinnie Leopold and they were blessed with a son Tafari who has made everyone proud of him in his deeds. All the blessings of a family were later followed with sorrow after the duo mutually agreed for a divorce.
Tafari is now ten years old and as young as he is he has also started making records just like her mother. He is a professional soccer player, by a look of how he plays he has perfected his art and in future he would be a great player. Tafari is among the few lucky children who've had a chance to rub shoulders with the who is who in the society. He was amongst a chosen few pupils who welcomed the president in his school for a celebration and since then he has also made friend ties with the head of state.
Tafari is also a good football commentator as he does it at vybez radio where his mother hosts a show, he is as well an ardent supporter of Liverpool. He at times hosts the show with Chiki Kuruka the wife to Bien Baraza.
The young boy is also an upcoming musician, she has been on stage a number of times accompanied by his mother. He has performed to big crowds and big shows as well. He majors his art in doing reggae songs.
