Understanding Uncle Fred Obachi Machoka: Facts About The Celebrated Radio and Television Host

Over the time, uncle Fred Obachi Machoka has proved himself to be among the most loved radio presenters in the country. Apart from his expertise, this can also be argued to be as a result of the availability of radio gadgets in most of the households in Kenya.

The availability of radio gadgets in many households usually presents a conducive environment for the radio presenters to introduce themselves to the public with ease. Uncle Fred Obachi seemingly has taken advantage of this.

Uncle Fred Obachi Machoka is well known television and radio host. He is from Nyaribari Masaba constituency in Kisii county. He was born on 27th October 1949. By calculations, he is currently 71 years old of age.

He has been in the media industry for over forty years. Despite taking decades in the industry, he has not shown any signs of quiting anytime soon.

He is very famously known by his Roga Roga show that he hosts on both Citizen television and radio. This long journey was started in 1975 at the government owned " Voice of Kenya" , the current KBC.

Obachi Machoka is a married man. He is married to Sophie Machoka. Their union started in the year 1977. The family is blessed with four children. His wife is a retired instructor.

It is worth noting that Machoka worked as a " Carrier Unit" soldier for about four years. This was before he turned and joined the world of journalism in the year 1975.

He would then move on to win the " Sanyo Juu Sanyo" competitions. Uncle Fred then got a job to promote Sanyo electronics. In the year 2002, he moved to Citizen Radio.

Apart from being a radio presenter, Obachi also owns a ranch in Kajiado. He hosts sports and other recreational activities such as horse riding, farm tours, and picnics
