Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati, Mathare Mp Aspirant has come out to cry foul after he was allegedly asked to step down as a Jubilee candidate for the seat in the upcoming election.
On Sunday, 24th April, Bahati took to his social media where he said, "I can't be Silent on this one!!!" and true to his word the Mp Aspirant held a press meeting on Monday 25th April, where he cried foul.
The singer turned politician held a press conference, a platform he used to claim that he had been asked to step down as the jubilee candidate for the Mathare Parliamentary seat in the August election.
"I respect you my president I also respect you Raila Odinga but please give the youth of this country a chance" Sobbing Bahati Said.
Bahati literally cried as he sent a message to both the Jubilee party leader Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
The popular singer claimed that the Azimio Coalition decided to support ODM's candidate and the current Mp Tom Oluoch, nonetheless, he challenged the two leaders to offer the people of Mathare an opportunity to elect their Mp of choice.
"I know the zoning of Mathare has been zoned as an ODM area, but for this one time give the youth of this country a chance to the people of Mathare to get the leader they have always wanted," Bahati said.
It would be crucial for parties and coalitions to maintain their members, especially the ones with humungous following bearing in mind that the elections are around the corner and a win for candidates in their respective parties is important.
