Popular Kenyan blogger and social media influencer Aurther Mandela better known as Xtiandela was on Thursday summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) over his viral Club Covid content.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Xtiandela revealed that he reported to the DCI although he did not go into details.

"Just summoned at the DCI because of club Covid. Currently at the DCI HQ," Xtiandela's Instagram post read.

The summon comes just a day after Xtiandela for the first time failed to broadcast the Club Covid show on his Instagram page over claims that he was engaged in a lot of battles over the content.

The influencer who has over 400,000 followers on Instagram added that he was not sure of when he would get back to airing the Instagram live feed.

"Hey guys. Unfortunately I won't be able to come back today or this week too. A lot is happening behind the scenes. Lots of battles being fought. Will keep you posted. Thank you for the support," He stated in the post.

Early last month, reports emerged that the DCI was after Xtiandela after a lawyer representing three parents filed a complaint with the anti-crime unit.

The lawyer demanded for Xtiandela's controversial show which features female dancers to be cancelled.

Xtiandela's lawyer while responding to the complaints, argued that viewers watch the show at their own interest without being forced adding that the show helped young ladies who had been rendered jobless due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
