Joseph "Jo Mersa" Marley, the grandson of reggae artist Bob Marley and the son of musician Stephen Marley, has reportedly passed away at the age of 31years.
Journalist Abka Fitz-Henley tweeted the first statement on the incident on Tuesday, claiming that the Jamaican American reggae star had been discovered unconscious in a car.

Jo Mersa died of an asthma attack, according to a post on Instagram by South Florida radio station WZPP, which did not provide the exact location of the incident. It mentioned the singer's wife and daughter as his survivors.

Jo Mersa was born and raised in Jamaica before relocating to Florida for his high school years. He majored in studio engineering at Miami Dade College, the Jamaica Observer reported in 2014.
