The highly anticipated Talanta Magharibi show will start airing today Saturday 10th October, 2021 on TV Magharibi as from 7pm.
This will be a preamble show before the team hits the road to Busia County on Saturday 16th October, 2021 for the first auditions which will be held at Farmview Hotel.
According to the organisers, registration fee is Ksh200 for individuals and 500/= for groups.
Categories will include Music, Dance and Alternative Acts.
Winners will get Ksh50,000 while first runners up will part with Ksh25,000 with the second runners up cashing Ksh15,000 in each category.
Confirming the shedule to Wakajuaness.Com, TV Mahgaribi CEO James Chanji aka Mshamba said the show will air for twelve weeks.
"The competition will air on TV Magharibi for 12 weeks and will traverse Bungoma, Busia, Vihiga, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot and Kakamega counties," said Mr Chanji, who started as a stage artist himself.
This will be the Season 2 of Talanta Magharibi which aims at identifying and nurturing talent through art and stage performance.
During last year's edition, the First 5 from Trans Nzoia won the highly competitive Dance category while Vegas came second and Legend Dancers from Busia County came third.
Music Bervery from Busia won the Music category while Grand Voices from Busia came second with KCDC from Kakamega County closing the top three.
As for the Alternative Acts, Heritage Arts Group from Mumias in Kakamega County bagged the prize followed by Joy The Poet from Bungoma County followed by Zoom Zoom Films from Kamukuywa in Bungoma County.
