The introduction of a new Kamba television channel has sparked mixed reactions among netizens with majority welcoming the idea as majority of the television have been unpredictable with their signals dissapearing from time to time.
The new Mutongoi television is already a free to air channel on Signet and has attracted a substantial following on social media. Though its official launching is scheduled to be on Monday May 3rd. The channel is currently actively broadcasting.
Through an advertisement showing from time to time the channel will launch online with various famous musicians both in Benga and gospel industry performing live. Kamba Benga musicians who will be present in the launch include Kativui of Kyaume band, Maima of Kithungo Raha and Katombi of Nguuni Lovers. Wilberforce Musyoka will be live to represent the gospel fraternity.
The new station is linked with a sister television broadcasting in the Ameru language called Weru television and Weru radio. To view the channel scan your TV and the channel will appear in your list of available channels.
