A 39-year-old man from from Nakuru has narrated what he has been going on in his marriage of 6 years. Speaking to Nation Africa,Martin Njoroge says he has been confesses he has undergone suffering silently in the hands of his wife who has been abusing him on several occasions. This is evident from the embarrassing scars that he bears on his face and body. He is currently nursing an injury she inflicted on him on his right leg after she accused him of sleeping with other women.
The woman sells illicit brew while her husband is a driver and they are both blessed with five children. Martin now says he feels likes a stranger in his own home. He goes home every evening not knowing what to expect.He recently lost his job and anytime he fails to bring food home he is beaten. He says he has never shared his ordeal with anyone for he fears people will judge him. He now says that his wife is worst than Jezebel from the Bible. He has however urged other men going the same to speak out and cast off shame, secrecy and the idea that men cannot be victims of abuse and assault from their wives.
