A lot of things have happened since the first case of COVID-19 was announced more than a month ago.
With the government suspending public gatherings, ordering the closure of entertainment joints and implementing other measures to contain the spread of the virus, some of the senior officers have been taking advantage of the pandemic for their selfish gains.
On Saturday 18th April, Kenyan renowned activist, Boniface Mwangi took to his Twitter account to share a video of drunk young people being ferried home by an ambulance. This happened on the evening of Friday 17th April.
He went on to direct the issue to the Ministry of Health for follow up pointing out that the ambulance driver was called by his boss who stated that there was a patient who needed assistance.
With zeal to safe life, the ambulance driver found out that the 'patient' was the boss's son and his friends who were drunk and needed assistance to reach home since curfew hours were already in place.
"Yesterday a @KenyaRedCross ambulance driver and a paramedic were called by their boss past the curfew to go pick a patient. The patient was their bosses son and his drunk friends and the mission was to take them home. Here is a video shared by the kids. Over to you @MOH_Kenya."
Citizens flooded the comment section with the following views;
@KituisFinest: Kenya Red Cross is dying slowly, if Abbas was there, we would have seen a lot happening with regard to COVID-19. RIP red Cross.
@Alicia_Akeys: These kids plus their handlers must face the full arm of the law. This is totally unacceptable & shouldn't go unpunished.

@taajir007: Whoever Cursed Kenya/Kenyans is not alive otherwise He would have prayed hard to God in order to retrieve that Curse.
