Raila pays huge to amount of money to MCSK for the 'Leo ni leo' Campaign hit song

Raila Odinga, the Azimio la umoja coalition party presidential candidate has this time challenged his critics by becoming the presidential Aspirant to pay the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) for the campaign song.

Mr. Odinga has paid a total of kshs 562,500 as license fees for music to be used by his campaign team.

Winnie Odinga, Raila's daughter paid the money on his behalf and she met the MCSK senior licensing Officer David Kiragu.

The MCSK says that Raila is now free to use any music either local or international during his campaign in the country since he has now obtained the license.

"It's gratifying to see that presidential candidates are complying with the copyright law by paying for music used in their political campaigns," MCSK stated.

The MCSK further issued a statement thanking Winnie Odinga and the entire Raila Odinga's campain team for the gesture and called upon other politicians to follow the suite.
