After almost one month of waiting, comedy luminary Eric Omondi has finally secured audience with tourism cabinet secretary Najib Balala to discuss the controversial Magical Kenya ambassadorial deal that was issued to British supermodel Naomi Campbell in January.
Their meeting comes after the comedian publicly expressed his displeasure with the government's decision to reward Campbell who was largely seen as an outsider at the expense of local celebrities who he claimed were well suited for the job.
After Eric posted a video on his Instagram page in the company of Balala while singing pro-nationalist songs and the comedian captioning it Magical Kenya, showbiz queen extraordinaire Esther Akothee approached Eric in the videos comment section adjuring him to include her in their negotiations over the deal.
Akothee's earnest plea is a second one. In January when Campbell's nomination for the lucrative deal accessed the public domain, Akothee similarly asked Eric not to forget her if at all he secures audience with the tourism cabinet secretary.
