Two Celebrity Men Who Underwent Vasectomy, Reveal Why They Opted For the Procedure (Photos)

In many Kenyan urban homes, the family setup consists of a reduced number of children to enable the parents to provide for the children comfortably. Different families use many contraceptives, but the most common contraceptives in Kenya are female products, but in the last few years, men have started exploring locally available methods.[Photo courtesy]

These two celebrities have opted for vasectomy, a safe, effective and permanent solution for men who are sure they don't want more children. Radio and TV host Moses Kimathi Mathenge alias DJ Moz recently opened up about having opted for the procedure after his wife started developing health complications brought about by the pill. Having been married for 13 years, DJ Moz had a candid discussion with his wife and they both agreed that they were not planning on having another kid hence DJ Moz opting for a vasectomy after the contraception method they had been using began affecting his wife adversely. In addition, Dj Moz encouraged other married men to have a candid conversation with their spouses about the procedure that has no health complications associated with it instead of the hormonal pills taken by women.[Photo courtesy]

Nick Ndeda also revealed that he has gone through elective vasectomy as he is not planning to have kids at all. This came after breaking up with his long time girlfriend Muthoni Gitau who was also opposed to the idea of having kids in the future hence making vasectomy the viable option for the two. Nick revealed that he made the decision not to have kids at the age of 17 years hence clearing the air on the accusation that Muthoni played a big role in influencing his decision to go for the procedure.[Photos courtesy]
