The Curious Rise Of Public Schools Despite Private Schools' Hours Of Online Classes

In today's newspaper the nation discusses the performance of KCPE results. The results were announced by the Ministry of education cabinet secretary George Magoha on Thursday.

During the release, it was noted that the public schools performed maximumly best than the counterpart private schools. This raised alot of questions as for a decade state owned schools have performed dismally. Their performance seems to be down compared to private schools.

This year, the top three students are from public schools. The leading was Faith Mumo with 433 marks in a public school. The leading county is Makueni with all public schools leading the line.

This comes even after an outcry came that some private schools had accessed the questions earlier. It was noted in the newspapers that some schools had done the post mock exams similar to the KCPE papers done. However, the same private schools never outshined the public schools.

Despite the use of online classes from private schools they never outperformed the public schools.

The rise of public schools is a good sign of improvement in educational standards in the country. It's evident that, now you can take a student to a public school and learn for free. At last you expect good grades.

We wish all students the best as they prepare to join form one by July this year. Thanks.
