The cases of fire in schools have been so many in Kenya. Many schools have been burnt down in the past one week. This has formed the affected schools to close indefinitely. The first school to report cases of fire was Sigalame boys in Busia county. Five dormitories were burnt which forced the school administration to send students home.

Many politicians and other leaders have called upon the government to reintroduce corporal punishment in schools. Kakamega governor Wyclife Oparanya gave the directive that students who are involved should be jailed for 60 years. Today the Rift Valley police representative have had a talk with Bwake secondary school in Cherengany. He has encouraged them to observe security in schools.

Natembeya went ahead and posed a joke to the students which left them in stiches. He jokingly stated that a real man showers once in a week.

“I know men don’t shower daily or is that not the case here? Why should a man bathe daily? Men should shower once a week. If there is no water what will you do?”- Natembeya posed.
