Babu Owino is a Kenyan politician who was born in Kisumu county. He is the current MP of Embakasi constituency, Nairobi county. This article discusses the academic performance of the high school where Babu Owino sat for his KCSE examination.

Kisumu boys is a public extra county secondary school located beside Agha Khan Hospital, Kisumu CBD, Nairobi Road, Kisumu county. It was founded in 1925 as Indian primary school. It became Indian High School in 1948 and the primary school section was relocated to another site (Arya Primary). Kisumu boys was initially co-educational, admitting boys and girls but in 1962 it became a boys only school. The school is headed by Mr. Obuogo who is the principal. Mr. Obuogo succeeded Bro. Dennis Aloo Abok in 2018.
Kisumu boys has maintained a good academic performance in KCSE examination in the long run. For instance in the year 2020, the school registered a total of 299 candidates and managed to obtain an impressive mean score of 8.083. Out of the 299 candidates, 200 of them scored a mean grade of above C+ which is the minimum university entry grade.
Apart from academics, Kisumu boys high school is also known for excelling in co-curriculum activities especially soccer and rugby.
