May Face-To Face School Reopening In Jeopardy After Medical And Education Experts Suggest This

The school reopening in may is an acid test both to the education stakeholders and the ministry of health. This is as a result of the third Covid-19 wave which is currently being witnessed.

The schools in kenya were first closed down on march 2020 after coronavirus pandemic struck the country and children spend close to seven months at home and resumed face-to-face learning in October when covid-19 Positivity Rate went below 5%.

From the star newspaper, education and Medical experts have revealed that the third wave of the Coronavirus which kenya battling today could as a result of face-to-face learning which was allowed. They said this catalyst the Covid-19 new wave and this could be more serious if students resume in may. The experts during an interview with the star suggested of changing this Face-to-face learning strategy come May.
