

The fastest man in Africa Ferdinand Omanyala who recently celebrated his 27th Birthday is a happy gent again after he graduated as a police constable in Kiganjo, Nyeri today. The event which was presided over by the President of the Republic of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto. Also in attendance was the Cabinet Secretary in Charge of Interior Kithure Kindiki, Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, and the police Inspector Japhet Koome.
Ferdinand Omanyala specializes in the 100m and 200m events. He is currently the fastest man in Africa and the 8th fastest man in the world. Omanyala was appointed as an Inspector in the year 2021 by the National Police service a role that sees him represent the forces in track events.
Omanyala joins other athletes who serve in the police service. Also graduating today was Beatrice Chebet who specializes in the 5000m for women.
The recruits completed the 9-month Basic Police Training Course. Kenyans have taken online to Congratulate him on this great achievement.
