Nairobi Private Schools Ranked Most Expensive In Africa

While some individuals believe that education is a basic need and does not have to be exuberant, another group thinks that quality does not come cheap. Therefore, the most expensive schools in Kenya are sought after by the high and middle class, who believe in investing in their children's education foundation. But did you know that private schools in Nairobi are some of the most expensive in Africa. International Schools based in Nairobi, Kenya have been ranked as the most expensive learning institutions across the African Continent. According to the International Schools Database 2021, the international schools charged a maximum of 3.37 million shillings fees per year for each student.

The report further indicated that the average fee paid in a majority of schools was 828,096 shillings per year with the cheapest schools charging 118,040 Kenya shillings. Nairobi was followed by Addis Ababa which has an average charge of Kenya shillings 737,750.The Brookhouse schools, Nairobi.

Did you know, Kenya has a total of 90,145 schools, according to the 2021 Economic Survey released by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.
